On 34th Street sits a gas station that serves excellent dark roast coffee. The gas
station has five pumps and the second one is cursed, so they say. After using
the second pump, various people have fallen ill, disappeared, or even died in
horrible accidents. The most notable misgiving associated with the cursed
second pump is the case of Jack Ash. The Dull Lull employee was running late to
work when he had to stop for gas and chose pump two. Immediately, he had trouble
handling the nozzle, which was an omen of the horror to come. After he filled
up his red sports car, he sped off towards the intersection of 34th
Street and 2nd Avenue. He ran the red light, so they say, and
crashed into a dump truck where he died immediately. Some say his car developed
a mind of its own after using gas pump number two at the gas station on 34th
Street. We may never know what happened in the moments before Jack Ash’s death,
but it may be in your best interest to avoid pump number two at all costs.

Eulogy
We are
gathered here today at Daysville Cemetery to celebrate the life of Jack Timothy
Ash. Jack was a devoted husband and also an employee of Dull Lull Corp. He also
loved driving his red 2017 Chevrolet Corvette. He loved to drive that red
sports car everywhere, and he did like to go fast. Jack’s tenacity to be at
work on time everyday was what made him an amazing employee. His boss, although
he couldn’t join us today, sends his deepest condolences to the Ash family and
friends. The day he died will forever be a gaping hole in every one of our
hearts. Jack Ash leaves behind a beautiful wife, two dogs, and eleven cats. We
draw comfort from knowing that Jack is in heaven with his parents and
grandparents. Fly high Jack! We will miss you and forever love you.
Persuasive Essay
Car accidents, due to drivers
speeding to get to work on time, have tripled in number since 2000. Research
shows that today’s drivers fail to wake in time because they stay up too late
watching Netflix or scrolling through various social media platforms. Due to
the progressive nature of living in the year 2016, workplaces should not
require employees to arrive at a specific time. When people have to make an
effort to arrive at a place at a prefixed time, they are ten times more likely
to break speed limit laws. For example, a young man named Jack Ash died in a
horrific car accident in November 2016 due to running a red light in an attempt
to get to work on time. If his workplace, Dull Lull Corp, had not had a set
time for workers to be at work, then Jack Ash would undoubtedly be alive today.
Therefore, all employers should let their employees come to work at any time so
that car accident deaths can decrease.

JACK
ASH: I'm late to work lady. I've got important places to be. I'm an important

CASHIER: No cream or sugar for you

NOVA LEE: No thanks. I need it
strong to make it through this day.
CASHIER: Yeah I seen that guy out
there beside ya. Looked like a jerk.
NOVA LEE: He was! Thanks for the
coffee, have a good day!

NOVA LEE: I hope his important place was worth it.
Diary Entry
Monday,
November 28, 2016
Dear
Diary,
Today
was a horrible day. First off, I was late getting ready for work because I
couldn’t wake up. Then I had to go get gas because I always put it off to the
last minute, and it bites me in the butt. It was a pretty morning, the sun was
shining and there wasn’t a cloud in sight. But this jerk guy in a red sports
car whips into the gas pump beside me, and this is where my not-so-good morning
turned into a horrible day! The dude was driving like a maniac before he pulled
in, and it made me so mad. I mean there is never a reason to drive like how he
was driving. So I yelled at him! Idk I was just mad at him. Well he told me to
pretty much shut up because he had somewhere important to be. So I then decided
to let it go and go get some coffee and try to salvage my morning. When I got
to drive down the street to work, I seen that guy’s car crashed into a big dump
truck! I couldn’t believe it! He had run a red light and wrecked. It really
rattled me too. I heard later that he died, and that he worked at Dull Lull
Corp just like me. It’s a small world, and I can guarantee you that Dull Lull
isn’t all that important of a place to rush to.
Love,
Nova
Police Report
On the
morning of Monday, November 28, 2016, I responded to a vehicle accident at the
intersection of 34th Street and 2nd Avenue. I arrived at
approximately 0900 hours. A red 2017 Chevrolet Corvette was wrapped around the
front of a white 1999 Freightliner FL70. Paramedics had tried to revive the
driver of the Chevrolet Corvette but failed to resuscitate him. He was DOA. Mr.
Jack Ash was identified to be the driver of the Corvette, and the driver of the
Freightliner was unharmed. I spoke with the driver of the Freightliner, Mr.
Tommy Lane, who stated that he was proceeding through a green light when the
Corvette ran its red light and collided into the front of his vehicle. Witnesses
at the scene reported that Mr. Ash was traveling at a high rate of speed and
ran through the red light when the accident occurred. No other vehicles or city
property were damaged in the accident.
