Acrostic: What To Eat

Winding down the road, he pulled into her driveway at sunset.
He waited while she rouged her cheeks and kissed the cat goodbye.
As soon as she got in the car, they exchanged swift greetings.
Timidly, he began to ask her the crucial question of the evening.
Their stomachs were rumbling as he tried to form the words.
Of course, she knew exactly what he was about to ask.
Every time it’s the same old thing.
At last, both quaking with hunger and anticipating the journey.

The question loosened from his lips.
