Philophronesis: My Dear Love, You Pick
“So you see, my love, I arrived as soon as I
could get out of work. By the way, you look so beautiful tonight. That new
rouge really compliments you. Geez, I know we’ve been together for four years
now, but you look prettier every time I see you . . . What’s that? Yes, of
course I’ve heated the seats for you. Did you tell the cat I said goodbye, too?
You have such a wonderful cat. He’s lucky to have you as his owner. I know
you’ve had such a long day. Your job is so stressful. I can’t imagine what you go
through. I love you so very much . . . Yes, well, I know I said last time that
I would most definitely decide where to eat tonight . . . You deserve a break .
. . It’s just that, well, I got so caught up in just thinking about you . . . I
simply forgot. My humble apologies . . . Is that a new dress? . . . Yes, so um,
where would you like to eat?”
