Police Report

On the morning of Monday, November 28, 2016, I responded to a vehicle accident at the intersection of 34^th Street and 2^nd Avenue. I arrived at approximately 0900 hours. A red 2017 Chevrolet Corvette was wrapped around the front of a white 1999 Freightliner FL70. Paramedics had tried to revive the driver of the Chevrolet Corvette but failed to resuscitate him. He was DOA. Mr. Jack Ash was identified to be the driver of the Corvette, and the driver of the Freightliner was unharmed. I spoke with the driver of the Freightliner, Mr. Tommy Lane, who stated that he was proceeding through a green light when the Corvette ran its red light and collided into the front of his vehicle. Witnesses at the scene reported that Mr. Ash was traveling at a high rate of speed and ran through the red light when the accident occurred. No other vehicles or city property were damaged in the accident.
