I step out of the white car onto the brown dirt and breath into my pink lungs the cleanest air I have ever breathed. Yellowstone! My old tan grandfather always said Yellowstone was the golden crown jewel of the “Red White and Blue” and he was right! I can instantly smell the sweet scent of green pine needles that has laced the blue sky, and it is as cold as teal ice outside even though it is in the red hot month of July. This is when I feel the most alive! My grandfather and I start walking down the chestnut trail surrounded by greenery and small burgundy woodland creatures. There is a bright chocolate colored sign that has all the details of the area in coral lettering. “Don’t read that dark propaganda!”, jokes my grandfather. He isn't a fan of the ebony clothed rangers and their “heroic” deeds. No, he and myself would much rather be surrounded by the colors of all the scenery.
