Flashback

In 2032, at age 86, Bill Clinton boards his plane to his daughter Chelsea’s third campaign event of the day. As he takes his seat on the plane, his mind drifts to 16 years earlier. On election night in 2016, Bill received a call from his good friend, and fellow member of the elite Presidents Club, George Bush. Bill remembers George calling and providing a few moments of laughter in an otherwise dreadful night. George had made jokes about dropping-out of the Presidents Club and how the experts had all been incorrect. In the midst of yet another hard-fought campaign, this brief flashback allowed Bill to drift back to a time of laughter with his dear friend. The humor provided by George during that tragic time had been Bill’s only escape from the harsh reality he and his wife had faced. As the plane lifted off the ground, Bill could only hope Chelsea’s election would have a different outcome.
